FAQ
What do I need to play live?
A Mac with macOS 12 or later, a microphone and an audio interface or wired headphones. Bluetooth headphones are not suitable because of their latency. iPad and Windows are coming.
Which instruments is WindFX made for?
For vocals, zurna, ney, kaval, mey, clarinet and saxophone. Each has its own factory presets as a starting point.
Can I use foot switches and MIDI controllers?
Yes. With MIDI Learn you assign knobs, foot switches and expression pedals – via USB, Bluetooth or network MIDI.
Can I try WindFX first?
Yes. Order the trial for €0 – you get the download link by email. 14 days with all features (without groove loops). Then buy WindFX for a one-time €49 and unlock it with your license key, without reinstalling.
macOS blocks the first launch – what now?
WindFX is not yet notarized by Apple. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security and click “Open Anyway” for WindFX. This is only needed on first launch.
Is there a subscription?
No. WindFX costs a one-time €49, with no subscription and no in-app purchases. All updates for WindFX 1.x are included.
Is any data collected?
No. Audio is processed only on your device; nothing is recorded or transmitted. More in the privacy policy.
