Order and download

How do I receive my purchased product?

Our products are delivered digitally. After your order is completed, you receive the download information at the email address you entered at checkout.

When can I download my product?

The download is usually available right after successful payment. Please also check your spam or promotions folder if you haven't received an email.

Do I need a customer account to download?

A customer account makes it easier to manage your orders. Whether registration is required is shown during checkout.

What can I do if I didn't receive a download email?

First check your spam or promotions folder and make sure the email address in your order is correct.

If you still can't find the email, contact us via the contact form or at info@dbxsound.com. Please include your full name, order number and the product you bought.

What can I do if the download doesn't work?

Try the download again with an up-to-date browser and a stable internet connection. Also make sure there is enough storage space on your device.

If the problem persists, send us a message with your order number and a short description of the error message.

Are physical products or media shipped?

No. Unless the product description says otherwise, all products are digital only. No USB stick, CD or other physical medium is shipped.

Products and file formats

What products does DBX Sound offer?

DBX Sound offers, among other things:

oriental sample packs and one-shots
drum and percussion sounds
zurna loops
sound sets and styles for compatible Korg keyboards
apps for musicians: the free tuner DBX Tuner and the live effects processor WindFX

Which file formats are included?

The file format depends on the product. Our sample packs come as WAV, for example. Keyboard products can contain device-specific formats such as STY, KMP or KST.

Please always check the technical specifications on the product page before buying.

What sample rate do the audio files have?

The sample rate is stated in each product description. Many of our audio products are provided at 44.1 kHz.

Do the WAV files work with every DAW?

WAV files work with most common DAWs and compatible software samplers, such as Cubase and many other music production programs.

Please check before buying whether your software supports the file format.

Do the products work on Windows and macOS?

WAV files are not tied to an operating system. What matters is whether your DAW, sampler or music software supports the format.

For device-specific sound sets, compatibility with the keyboard model is what matters.

Korg sound sets

Are the Pa4X and Pa5X products compatible with each other?

Not automatically. The Korg Pa4X and Pa5X use different technical structures and product versions. Only buy the version offered explicitly for your keyboard model.

Does a Pa4X set work on a Pa5X?

Full, error-free compatibility cannot be assumed. For the Korg Pa5X, use the version made for it.

What should I keep in mind before installing a keyboard set?

Always make a complete backup of your existing user and keyboard data before loading new data, and make sure there is enough storage space on your device.

Check before buying:

the exact keyboard model
the software or operating system version
the required storage space
the file formats named in the product description
the installation notes for the product

Can existing sounds or styles be overwritten?

That depends on your keyboard, your current setup and the installation method. Always make a backup before loading new sound sets, styles or samples.

DBX Sound is not responsible for data loss caused by a missing backup or improper installation.

Can I get help with the installation?

If you have trouble installing, contact us and include:

your order number
the product you bought
your exact keyboard model
the installed operating system version
a description of the problem that is as precise as possible
if possible, a screenshot or photo of the error message

Use and license

May I use the sounds in my own songs?

Yes, you may use the purchased sounds in your own music productions under the product's license. This generally includes released and commercial productions, unless the product description or license terms say otherwise.

May I release music with the sounds on Spotify, YouTube or other platforms?

Yes, the sounds may be used in your own finished music productions and released on platforms such as Spotify, YouTube and other music services.

Sharing the individual samples, loops, styles or sound files unchanged or in isolation is not allowed.

Are the products royalty-free?

After purchase, the sounds can be used in your own productions under the license without buying a new license for each release.

“Royalty-free” does not mean that ownership or copyright of the original files is transferred. The exact terms of use follow from the product description, the license terms and the terms of service.

May I give the files to friends, band members or other people?

No. The license is for the buyer only. The original files may not be passed on, uploaded, shared, given away or offered for download to others.

If another person needs the product for their own use, they need their own license.

May I resell the samples or loops?

No. Reselling, sharing or republishing the original files or only slightly modified files is not allowed.

This includes in particular:

sample packs
loop packs
sound libraries
preset packs
keyboard sets
styles
individual extracted sounds
free sharing via cloud storage, forums or messengers

May I create and sell my own sample packs or sound sets from the sounds?

Using sounds in a finished piece of music is different from reusing them in a new sound library. The sounds may not be sold or shared as part of a new sample pack, loop pack, preset pack or sound set unless DBX Sound has expressly allowed it in writing.

May I edit the sounds?

Yes, you may edit, cut, arrange, add effects to and combine the sounds for your own music productions.

Editing does not entitle you to share or sell the edited individual files as your own sample pack or sound library.

May I use the free sample pack commercially?

The free sample pack may be used in your own music productions under its license. Sharing, reselling or publishing the individual original files remains prohibited for free products too.

Returns and withdrawal

Can I return a digital product?

Special legal rules apply to digital content. The right of withdrawal can expire once the download has been provided with your express consent before the withdrawal period ends and you have confirmed that you lose your right of withdrawal as a result.

What if a file is damaged or the product doesn't work?

If a product is technically faulty or a file is damaged, contact us with your order number and a precise description of the problem. We check the case and provide a working file or another suitable solution if a file error is confirmed.

A technical fault does not exist just because a product is used with a device, software version or file format that is not listed.

What if I bought the wrong keyboard version by mistake?

Contact us as quickly as possible and don't download or use the product yet. Whether a change is possible is decided case by case. There is no automatic right to an exchange for digital products that have already been provided or downloaded.

Please always check the exact keyboard model before buying.

Apps: WindFX and DBX Tuner

How do I get my WindFX license key?

After buying WindFX, your personal license key is in your order confirmation. Open WindFX, choose “Enter license” and enter exactly the email address from your order and the key. This unlocks the Mac app and the VST3 plug-in.

Can I try WindFX first?

Yes. Order the trial for €0 – you get the download link by email. You can use WindFX for 14 days with all features (without groove loops). Then buy WindFX for a one-time €49 and unlock it with your license key, without reinstalling.

Which devices does WindFX run on?

Currently on the Mac – as a standalone app and as a VST3 plug-in. Versions for iPad, Android and Windows are coming.

Is DBX Tuner really free?

Yes. DBX Tuner is free, ad-free and works offline. You order it in the shop for €0 and receive the download by email.

Where can I find the manuals?

All manuals in German, English and Turkish are on the Support & manuals page – online and as PDF.

Customer account, updates and support

Do I get future updates for free?

Whether updates are included is stated in each product description. A purchase does not automatically include all future extensions, new versions or additional content.

Bug fixes and necessary technical adjustments may be provided depending on the product.

What if I delete my files by mistake?

Keep your own backup of your purchased files after downloading, ideally also on an external drive or in personal cloud storage.

If you no longer have access to your order, contact us with your order number. We'll check whether the download can be provided again.
