WindFX – Datenschutzerklärung

Stand: Oktober 2026 ·

Schreib uns dazu an info@dbxsound.com.

Privacy Policy WindFX

Last updated: October 2026

This privacy policy applies to the „WindFX“ app (iPad and Mac). For visits to our website and orders in our shop, the dbxsound.com privacy policy also applies.

In short

WindFX processes your microphone and instrument signal only on your device. The app has no user account, no advertising, no tracking and no analytics, and does not send any data to DBX Sound or third parties on its own.

Controller

DBX Sound, owner Deniz Bahadir
Schulstraße 41, 32584 Löhne, Germany
Email: info@dbxsound.com · Phone: +49 177 6739582

Microphone and audio

The app needs access to the microphone or your audio interface to play your instrument or voice live with effects. The signal is processed in real time on your device and is never recorded, stored or transmitted. Access is only granted if you allow it in the system prompt (consent under Section 25 (1) TDDDG); you can revoke it at any time in the system settings.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth is used only when you pair a Bluetooth MIDI controller (e.g. a foot switch or keyboard). No personal data is collected.

Files and data stored on your device

Your presets, setlists, scenes, MIDI assignments, settings and imported loops are stored only on your device. The app accesses files only when you select them yourself (e.g. importing loops, exporting a backup or sound file); exported files are saved where you choose.

Test log and feedback

The optional test log records technical values (e.g. device type, load, dropouts, levels, restarts, MIDI events). It contains no audio recordings and stays on your device. Only if you choose „Send feedback“ and send the log to us yourself via the share sheet or by email do we receive it, together with the details of your message (e.g. your email address). We use this information only to find bugs and improve the app (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in a working app) and delete it once it is no longer needed for that.

Beta testing via TestFlight and the App Store

During the beta, WindFX is distributed through Apple TestFlight. Apple may collect crash reports, device data and feedback you send and share them with us. Apple’s privacy policy applies to this and to later downloads from the App Store.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, e.g. the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia. Contact us at info@dbxsound.com.

Changes

We update this privacy policy when the app or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
